Expanding your home? We’ll make the new roof look like it was always there.
The single biggest challenge with any extension roof is matching the new tiles to the existing ones. This is something many homeowners underestimate and some roofers get wrong. Tile profiles change over the years, colours fade with UV exposure, and some older profiles are no longer manufactured at all.
At Kirumba, tile matching is something we take seriously. We’ll identify your existing tile profile and manufacturer, assess the current colour against available options, and advise you honestly on what’s achievable whether that’s an exact match from current stock, the closest available modern equivalent, or a conversation about whether a full re-roof of the existing section might actually be the better outcome for a seamless result.

Extensions and additions come in all shapes and sizes. Whether your builder is adding a new bedroom at the back, extending the living area, pushing out over the garage, or building a full second storey, the roofing needs to be handled by someone who understands both the technical requirements and the visual importance of getting it right.
Building up rather than out? Second-storey additions require careful coordination with your builder around roof framing and tiling timelines. We’ve worked on plenty of these and know how to keep things moving on site.
Extending a roof over a new or existing garage or carport. We’ll match the tile or advise on the most compatible profile for the span and pitch involved.
Granny flats and secondary dwellings require their own complete roof we handle these as standalone jobs or in coordination with a builder.
Covered entertaining areas that connect to the main roof of the home tiled or tiled-to-match options available depending on the structure and pitch.
Get in touch early ideally at the planning stage so we can advise on tile matching and work within your build timeline from the start.
Most extension and addition jobs involve a builder managing the overall project. Kirumba works comfortably within that environment. We understand construction schedules, we communicate clearly with site managers, and we know what other trades need from us and when.
If you’re the homeowner managing your own renovation without a principal builder, we’re equally comfortable dealing directly with you. We’ll coordinate with your certifier or private building inspector as required and make sure all roofing work meets the relevant Australian Standards and NCC requirements before inspection.
